The information for the trail report comes right from our Groomer Operator at the end of Groom. We keep our reports conservative, we do not give these reports just get you up here. We know the long distance some of our visitors have to travel to get here. Having said that you also have to remember snow is not pavement and the further from the time of the grooming the trail conditions can change. You as a trail rider can also help to keep conditions good. Do not do the following, rapid starts and stops, blast though corners throwing snow off the trail, or going on and off the trail dragging snow onto the groomed surface. We also would like your help in giving us information on safety of the trails such as, dangerous part of trails, standing water, downed trees, missing or knocked down signs. You can give this information in a number of ways, if you think its dangerous enough and you have a Cell Phone that can hit a service tower, call 906-345-xxxx, most of the time you won’t have take that kind of action. If your coming into Big Bay you can just stop by most of stores and report it to them, they will get in touch with the Club. Please take careful note of where the hazard is, on what trail, and the approximate distance from Big Bay. If you are involved in a accident or come across one, have someone in your group or yourself get to the nearest phone and call 911. The groomer does have a radio but may not be able to make contact. The groomer does have some safety equipment onboard but the operator is not trained and does not have permission to give first aid. Remember keep it safe: Do not drink and ride.
